Create An Account
Start by selecting the "Friends..." option from the WoW Status menu. Click the "Create Account" button to create a WoW Status friends account. Just give a username and password of your choosing and enter a valid email address.
Add Your Characters
Switch to the "Characters" tab and enter the name and server for the characters that you play in World of Warcraft.
Search Out Other Characters
After you have entered all your characters switch back to the "Friends" tab. Hitting the "+" button will bring up a search for finding other player's characters. Enter a name, or part of a name and hit the search button or press return. Select as many entries as you want from what is returned and press the "Add" button to start monitoring them.

Shareware Information
- To be clear, WoW Status is a shareware application. The version that you download is fully functional minus the server alerts feature and being limited to being able to track more than two servers or friends at a time. Purchasing WoW Status will give you a key that is good until a major upgrade of the WoW Status is published, i.e. WoW Status v2. A minimal price will be set for those that need to upgrade, and if they choose not to upgrade they will not lose the features they have already payed for, i.e. WoW Status v1.3 serials give you access to server alerts in WoW Status v1.5.
